Jon Hanrahan is an assistant producer for WNYC's On the Media. He previously helped make WQXR's Meet the Composer. He is still just starting out — give him time! watch him grow! — but even at this early stage he is proud to have produced a show on all things transit + media and helped produce The Scarlet E: Unmasking America's Eviction Crisis. Jon is a musician by training, and can occasionally be spotted about town singing liturgical music or providing pianistic accompaniment to shenanigans of all kinds. He also shucks oysters on the weekends, because the only thing he loves more than sharp, biting media criticism is the sweet, briny meat of a good Crassostrea virginica.
